Jason W. Lee

Jason W. Lee, Ph.D., is a Professor of Sport Management at the University of North Florida. Dr. Lee is a nationally recognized scholar specializing in sport and academic brand identity, with an extensive background in scholarly writings, academic presentations, and scholarly mentorship and maintains an active research agenda in sport brand management and visual identity in sport. This includes a substantial research publication record of more than 60 academic articles, including more than 40 refereed journal manuscripts. His work has been published in a wide variety of academic journals, including Sport Marketing Quarterly (SMQ), Journal of Sport Management (JSM), International Journal of Sport Communication (IJSC), International Journal of Entrepreneurial Venturing (IJEV), Journal of Issues in Intercollegiate Athletics (JIIA), Journal of Hospitality, Leisure, Sport, and Tourism Education (JoHLSTE), Journal of Contemporary Athletics (JCA), and Strategies: A Journal for Physical and Sport Educators, among others. Dr. Lee also has six books (with one in progress), 38 book chapters, and 32 encyclopedia entries. Dr. Lee’s books include edited texts, Branded: Branding in Sport Business (as well as an enhanced second edition of this work), Branding in Higher Education: Every University Tells a Story, Sport and Criminal Behavior, and Policy and Governance in Sport: Issues, Organizations, and Practical Application, and the co-authored Brand Identity in Sport. Moreover, he has 140 scholarly presentations to his credit, including speaking at leading conferences in my academic field and other disciplines and professional organizations.
