Lee Gardner

Retired 12/31/16 as President/CEO of Family Trust Federal Credit Union, after serving in that position for 38 years.  Began my career in banking spending 5 years with a commercial bank and another year with the SC Credit Union League.   Also served for 24 years as a member of South Carolina Credit Union League Board of Directors including 4 years as Chairman. 

Studied Psychology at University of SC and also attended the SC School of Banking at USC.  Completed Executive Development Schools at Michigan State University in 1982, Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1996, and Harvard Business School in 2003.  Earned the designation as a Certified Credit Union Executive.

In retirement, I facilitate strategic planning for numerous non-profits, credit unions, the Rock Hill School District, and Rock Hill City Government.  I also teach Strategic Leadership for the Carolinas’ Credit Union League “Leadership Development Institute” at the University of NC.

Awards and recognition include a Martin Luther King “Dream Keeper” Award and a Boy Scouts “Distinguished Citizen” Award.
