Wayland Wiseman

A native of South Georgia, Wayland moved to Jacksonville Fl. in 1998 after completing a Building Construction and Contracting degree from Georgia Southern University to work with a local home builder learning the construction trade. During the Housing Boom of the early 2000’s, that company was purchased by a National Homebuilder where Wayland was exposed to nationally proven methods of business, administration and leadership.

In 2003 Wayland partnered with a Jacksonville family to help start a new local and privately owned home building company that would specialize in homes for the first-time home buyer. Within two years it was the fastest growing homebuilder in North East Florida and within four years it was amongst the top 25 builders in the state.

It was in this same year that Wayland first started attending Celebration Church. Wayland quickly fell in love with the engaging experience and welcoming environment. After joining the church, he soon began to serve and became a key volunteer first in facilities and operations and then later in middle school ministry where he made many life-long relationships including his future wife, Heather. Wayland and Heather got married in 2010 and they have two girls, Nyah and Lachlan.

In 2011, Wayland and Heather, in faith, left Jacksonville and the Construction Industry to pursue a calling God had put on his heart to “help the Church function better operationally”. In June of 2014, that leap of faith landed him in Orlando Fl. where Wayland as the Executive Pastor, helped to plant Celebration Church Orlando. The Orlando City church was blessed with immediate growth and success and for Wayland, he knew this was what God had created him to do.

In 2020 Wayland was asked to return to the corporate headquarters in Jacksonville Fl. to help prepare Celebration Church for the future. For the Wiseman family, this move would represent the completion of a journey and a return to where it all started over 17 years prior. Wayland is currently the Executive Pastor and the Executive Director of Systems and Support for the very church God used to show him his true calling and prepare him to walk in it.
